Bella Vista POA won the 2024 best tasting drinking water contest at the Northwestern District Meeting of the Arkansas Waterworks and Water Environment Association held in March.

Four different water systems competed for the NW District title of Best Tasting Water. The taste test was conducted by a panel of guest judges. This year’s panel of judges consisted of Samantha Campbell, Jonathan Castillo, and Aryana Davin (left to right) with the Arkansas Water YP (Young Professionals) Network. Judges rated each water sample based on its clarity, color, odor, and taste and determine the top three best tasting water to be:

  • 1st place – Bella Vista POA
  • 2nd place – Rogers Water Utilities
  • 3rd place – Beaver Water District

Bella Vista POA will represent the Northwest District at the statewide competition held in May during the Arkansas Water Conference in Hot Springs.

During the 2024 event back in March, Beaver Water District got to celebrate the recognition of one of our team members. Board President Bill Watkins received the Dick Trammell Good Neighbor Award. The award recognizes an individual for his or her significant contribution to the betterment of the Rogers community. Congratulations Bill! We appreciate all that you do for Northwest Arkansas.
