Annual Beaver Lake Cleanup

Volunteers are needed to pick up litter along the Beaver Lake shoreline for the Annual Beaver Lake Cleanup hosted by the Army Corps of Engineers and Benton County Solid Waste. If you have a boat, that's even better! Contact Alan Bland, park ranger, at 476-636-1210, ext. 1705. Pick up trash bags after 8 a.m. at Prairie Creek, Dam Site, Rocky Branch, and Hickory Creek parks. You'll get lunch and door prize tickets, as well as a T-shirt. Join in and help us keep the drinking source for 1 in 7 Arkansans clean!

Imagine A Day Without Water Trivia Night

Imagine A Day Without Water is an annual observance to raise awareness about the value of water in communities throughout the world. The 2nd Annual Fossil Cove Imagine A Day Without Water Trivia Night will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 1946 N. Birch Ave., Fayetteville, AR. ArkanSalsa Fest presented by One Community

ArkanSalsa Fest is an annual event produced by One Community. Papa Rap's Water Fun Facts music show will be there with music CD giveaways and coloring books. Beaver Water District, a partner with Papa Rap, also will be there to provide fun, games and giveaways related to drinking water and source water protection. Kessler Trail Run

Fayetteville, AR, USA

The Kessler Trail Run is a community event organized by the Fayetteville Natural Heritage Association and partners at the Northwest Arkansas Land Trust, Pack Rat Outdoor Center , and Beaver Watershed Alliance, to support land conservation efforts in and around Fayetteville, Arkansas. This self-timed 10K and 20K trail run will begin at 9 am at Kessler Mountain Regional Park (2600 Judge Cummings Road). The after-party will take place starting at 11 am at the Ozark Mountain Smokehouse (1725 Smoke House Trail). Upon finishing, runners will receive a limited-edition 2018 Kessler Trail Run pint glass and a ticket to enjoy food from local vendors and craft beer from area breweries. An after-party only option is also available for those that are interested in supporting FNHA’s conservation efforts without running the course.
