School Hydration

Beaver Water District joined forces with the American Heart Association to add 10 more water bottle filling stations to schools in Northwest Arkansas last year. Adding an ample supply of safe, clean drinking water encourages students, teachers, and staff to drink water instead of sugary drinks during the school day, which helps support oral health and wellbeing while reducing waste by allowing for the use of refillable bottles.

Five water stations were added last fall in Pea Ridge (2), Elkins (2), & Greenland (1). This Spring two stations were added to Mary Mae Elementary School in Bentonville, and one station each at Asbell and Leverett Elementary School in Fayetteville. A fifth station will soon be delivered to Prairie Grove.
