August 24, 2018 – Carol Denefe of Rogers draws ticket for Grand Prize at Secchi Day!

Carol Denefe held the winning ticket for the grand prize kayak and paddle donated by Cabela’s in Rogers to the 13th Annual Secchi Day on Beaver Lake, held on Aug. 18th and organized by Beaver Water District and a host of partner organizations and businesses. This year’s event drew almost 700 people, including citizen scientists taking clarity readings with a Secchi Disk measuring device and water samples for testing from Beaver Lake, as well as several hundred people and volunteers, many of whom enjoyed a host of hands-on educational and fun activities lakeside at Prairie Creek. The 14th Annual Secchi Day will be held Aug. 17, 2019.
