Building Blocks To Water Education
Purpose: To educate children about drinking water treatment and Beaver Lake watershed protection.

1st-3rd GRADE: “Adventures in Our Watershed” uses a localized, interactive relief model of the watershed and Beaver Lake. The design is based on the Beaver Lake Watershed with recognizable landmarks and land uses found within Beaver Lake watershed.

4th-6th GRADE: Your students will love playing the “Where’s The Water” board game. They will learn about the water cycle using a board game based on the region, with Beaver Lake as a focal point for learning.

7th-8th GRADE: The Ways of Water teaches students about a variety of topics. The 7th Grade Lessons include Drinking Water Treatment, The History of Drinking Water Treatment, and Careers in Drinking Water Treatment with an optional On-Site Tour of the District's Gold LEED-certified Administration Center in Lowell, Arkansas. (Tours are available on request. Criteria include completing all three lessons in the 7th Grade Program. To request a tour, awilson@bwdh2o.org.
